This oil painting from the collection of the Shanghai Longhua Martyrs' Memorial Museum presented extensive deterioration across the surface, including widespread blanching, deformation, water damage, cracking and flaking. The conservation treatment was nominated for the IIC Keck Award in 2024.

The immense physical and psychological demands of this project have necessitated significant investment in facility modifications, custom equipment, and specialized material development.
